Studio assistant

We are always on the look out for reliable, hardworking, knowledgeable studio assistants to have on our books. The candidate will need to be highly organised, self-motivated, and have a keen interest in developing their skills as an assistant. This is a great opportunity for someone who has entry level experience within photography production and is energetic and passionate about learning new skills and crafting their own voice within a small business. There will be an initial handover period to train the candidate up-to-speed but a confidence to embrace new responsibilities, time-manage and self-initiate tasks is crucial.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Drive to initiate a career in production and/or photography.

  • Knowledge of photography processes, equipment and software.

  • A self-starter, someone who doesn't wait for direction and will independently problem-solve.

  • Understanding of social media and marketing strategies.

  • Hands-on and prepared to muck-in to manual and cleaning tasks on a daily basis.

  • Finds satisfaction within organisation and administrative tasks.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Aptitude for numeracy and computer literacy (knowledge of accounting software would be beneficial).

  • Willingness to develop new systems and processes to better suit the needs of the business.

  • Confident and attentive attitude, especially when communicating with clients and team members.

  • Flexible to take on extra hours and occasional weekends if needed.
